Single beam gantry crane is an important construction equipment for construction and equipment installation, especially in modern high-rise construction where its position is more prominent. As special operation equipment, its protection issues are increasingly prominent in front of us. Therefore, we need to first understand the application skills of the equipment and possible misunderstandings, in order to reduce or prevent the occurrence of protective accidents.
Misconception 1: Frequent waxing. Waxing too frequently, often waxing the crane, although it will make the car paint more shiny, it will cause damage to the car. Because car wax contains alkaline substances, long-term use can make the car body turn black.
Misconception 2: It's better to have more engine oil than not. It is necessary to add more or less oil to the crankcase of the crane. Excessive oil can increase the resistance of the crank connecting rod mechanism and also increase the amount of oil splashing onto the cylinder wall. Excessive engine oil can lead to an increase in carbon buildup in the combustion chamber, a decrease in engine power, and thus affect emissions. When checking or adding oil, car owners should increase the oil level according to the scale on the oil dipstick. The oil level should not exceed the upper limit of the dipstick scale when it reaches a high level, and should not be lower than the lower limit of the dipstick scale when it reaches a low level. Generally, it is appropriate to compare the oil level when it increases to a position slightly above the middle of the two scales.
Misconception 3: It is better to tighten the accessory belt than loosen it. Some car owners believe that the tension of the front accessory belt can affect the cooling effect of the front compressor and the power generation of the generator, so they keep pushing the tension of the belt, but they do not know that this approach is wrong. The accessory belt should adhere to the appropriate tension, as a belt that is too tight can cause excessive bearing load, shorten the service life of components, and cause the belt to crack, ultimately affecting the normal operation of the crane.
