How to maintain the chain of a single beam crane
Single beam crane is a large machinery widely used for lifting goods in different occasions. It is prohibited to use it in flammable and explosive places. Once a single beam crane encounters problems, the losses can be quite serious, so daily maintenance of the single beam crane is very necessary. Among them, maintenance of crane chains is one of them. The following is an introduction from Shandong single beam crane manufacturers on the daily maintenance of single beam crane chains, highlighting the issues to be aware of:
1. The old lifting chain cannot be mixed with some new chains, otherwise it may cause impact and break the chain during transmission.
2. The new lifting chain is too long or stretched after use, making it difficult to adjust. The chain links can be removed depending on the situation, and even numbers are required. The chain link should pass through the back of the chain, the locking plate should be inserted outside, and the opening of the locking plate should face in the opposite direction of rotation.
3. The tightness of the lifting chain should be appropriate. Too tight increases power consumption, bearings are prone to wear, and too loose chains are prone to jumping and detachment. The tightness of the chain is about 2% -3% of the wheelbase when lifted or pressed from the middle of the chain.
4. Remember to add lubricating oil to the lifting chain in a timely manner during operation. And lubricating oil enters the clearance between the roller and the inner sleeve to improve working conditions and reduce wear. The old lifting chain cannot be mixed with some new chains, otherwise it may cause impact and break the chain during transmission.
5. The sprocket should not tilt or swing when installed on the shaft. The end faces of two sprockets in the same transmission component should be located in the same plane, and a deviation of 1 millimeter is allowed when the sprocket track is less than 0.5 meters; When the wheelbase is over 0.5 meters, a deviation of 2 millimeters is allowed, but friction chains are not allowed.
6. After severe wear of the sprocket, both a new sprocket and a new chain should be replaced to ensure good meshing. You cannot simply replace the chain or sprocket with a new one. Otherwise, it will cause poor meshing and accelerate the wear of new chains or sprockets. After the sprocket tooth surface is worn to a certain extent, it should be flipped over for use in a timely manner (referring to sprockets with adjustable surfaces) to extend the service life.
